06.20.05 11:27 AM Comic will be up late tonight. All that's left is the word balloons, but I'm dealing with a massive sinus headache right now. Sorry for the delay :( 06.17.05 12:44 PM God help me, I like PvP as a comic. But unfortunatly it's written and drawn by a man who just cannot play nice with others. There are some people whose work I respect tremendously, while they themselves inspire varying degrees of animosity in me. Scott Kurtz and Dave Sim are both prime examples of this. Lately Kurtz seems to be picking every fight he can find, and it's really beginning to piss me off. He's gone beyond someone I simply disagree with, to someone I actively don't want to be around. Which is a shame, because he's a very talented guy. I just wish he'd stop acting like such an asshole. "Scott Kurtz: Burning bridges that haven't even been built yet" On a happier note, we have a tenative booth location for San Diego thanks to Pontus over at Little Gamers. It apparently puts us just right next to what looks to be webcomic central. I've seen a few other maps of similar layout, and it looks like most if not all of the attending webcomics will be concentrated in this area, with Dumbrella and Penny Arcade right in the eye of the storm. We're boothing with Dayfree Press this year, so if you're looking for us in the official listings that's where we'll likely show up. Dayfree has the endcap, and we'll be the first booth right next to 'em, forming an "L" of goodness. And dear god, what a booth this is gonna be. Assuming everything ships down ok, that is. My god, it's full of foamcore... 06.13.05 12:35 PM A quick note for those of you who preordered books. I spoke with the printer today, and the book has been slightly delayed. It was scheduled as of a week ago to ship out today, but has now been rescheduled for next tuesday. What this means for you is that although we will have them in time for San Diego, we will not have time to get all the preorders signed and shipped before we leave. I've mentioned before that this was a possibility, and I tried my best to avoid it. Unfortunately the printing season is apparently in full swing, and this is apparently common this time of year. SO... All preordered books will now definately be shipping AFTER we get back from San Diego, barring some kind of time vortex. The envelopes and such should be ready beforehand, but the actual signing process ain't got a snowballs chance of happening before the con. I apologize to those of you who've been waiting a long time already, I'm still hoping for a late christmas miracle, myself. Elves in the night or something. On that subject... Preperations for San Diego have been steadily eating more and more of my time. Add that to rampant computer issues and you get delayed comic. I've posted a new webcam image to show you a little taste of where my blood and sweat has been going lately. That's not AL's hand on Jonny's shoulder, just felt I needed to make that clear... As you may know, we're going to be sharing a booth with Les McClaine of Jonny Crossbones fame, and Kyle Thiessen of Brainwrap Comics obscurity. Both extremely talented artists, and I'm really looking forward to that week in July. Last year we made do with a very small table in the Small Press area. There wasn't a lot of room there, but we were still able to put together a little Spider-Body Standee for display. About 18 inches high, it wasn't terribly impressive, but it did the job. This year I can only say we're aiming a bit higher, though the panda-cam should give you a pretty good indication of just how high. It's been pretty surreal around here as things start to come together, and it'll get more so in the next few weeks. We will definately have pictures up after the con, and maybe even another teaser or two beforehand...
