For the record, I generally like Robert Rodriguez movies. But I really hated Spy Kids. If for nothing else than the fact that everything in the movie looked like it was pre-designed to directly translate into a cheap, generic toy. I don't like movies which skimp on the design budget when they don't have to. I've been told the sequels improved a bit on the other problems with the movie, but the visuals still seem ultra-generic.

Which sucks, because I really like the idea of kid spies. And don't even start about Agent Cody Banks...
