Man, I never would have guessed at these being so ridiculously cool. Last license I ever expected to see as a plush toy.

Amazingly enough, I think I'm going to be able to tie this storyline up in time...

And I'm going to have to use Doctor Pimento as a villain at some point. I like the way his lair came out.

Once San Diego is over and I get the relaunch ready, I'll fix up the archives so you can read the whole first run of comics without the odd picture posts getting in the way.

One day I hope to understand Pockybot. Till then I will continue to stare at it like a curious monkey.

Soo pretty... so confusing... ook-ook.

I made the mistake of finally playing Half-Life this week, being only a decade or so behind the rest of the world. Unfortunately it's reputation is well deserved, and it devoured two days in entirety.

Then Steve brought home Spiderman 2, and you can guess the rest.

The new strip is drawn, but it's gonna be a bitch to color and I haven't even started yet. I will hit it first thing in the morning, before I motor off to work. Look for it sometime on Tuesday.

Incidently as alluded to last week, this current incarnation of Radioactive Panda will be ending with the resolution of the Moon storyline. In exactly 5 strips to be exact. A new version will take it's place, giving me a chance to fix a few things I've had problems with. The new version will be almost identical to the old in most respects, but things will be a little less haphazard than they've been so far. Don't expect any major changes to the characters and such, at least nothing like what happened back when I started this version. This is more polishing what's already been roughed out over the past year, re-establishing things and such. I'll most likely not be taking any time off in between, so it should be a fairly painless shift.

The one thing I should mention though, and something I know a good many people are going to throw a fit over, is that the new version will no longer be in color. This is not a decision I made lightly, but it is something I feel to be neccesary. I would love to see my stuff in color all the time, but at this point it takes significantly more time to color a strip than it does to draw it. Frankly I'd rather turn out 2-3 strips in black and white than one strip in color. It gives me more variety and practice, and you more content to read. Plus I'll be able to do a strip from beginning to finish in less than a day, something I can't right now. This will let me do more topical strips (I really shot myself in the foot creatively by not doing a spiderman strip), and should ensure a more regular update schedule than I've been able to adhere to.

I will most likely return to doing color at such point as I can do this full time. Maybe once a week in color, 2-3 times B&W. But that's down the line... For now I'll be looking at 1-2 strips a week for the first month or so, then a solid 2 strips a week untill I can start shaving days off my regular job.

There's other reasons for dropping color, some of which involve a particular side project which I'll be diving into next month. Said project is most certainly in full color and it already looks amazing even in it's early stages. There's simply no way I can do both things, and when you see what I'm talking about I thnk you'll understand.

5 Strips and counting...
