UPDATE: Since everyone and their grandmother seems to be in agreement, I've stopped tinkering with the symbol. Apparently I had it right the first time. I just needed to make it bigger.

The design for the first T-shirt is here

It's a very simple shirt with the Frankenstein symbol on the front, and the new Radioactive Panda logo on the back. I'm still fine tuning it so if you've got any comments on it. I'll be ordering these in a week or so.

Those of you looking for something with a bit more of the characters on it shouldn't worry, I'm working on another one for later that should satisfy most of you ;)

I'm hoping to have it ready for San Diego, but it may take more time than I have between now and then.

We'll see...

First things first.

This is Jeremy, just turned nine, youngest son of Frankenstein...

I'll be replacing the non-updating Kung Fool button on the right with a link to the above shortly.

Secondly, the stickers have turned out to be pretty popular. Popular enough in fact that I'm still working on a few of last weeks orders. I'll be mailing the first batch out on friday, so if you ordered them last week you should see them before too long.

Oh, and seeing as how most of you ordered these things without knowing how they'd actually look, here's a shot of the first batch I did...

Yeah, that's right, the Panda has green eyes. I had a green marker lying around and I liked the effect. Everything else will still be B&W though.

Also I've made one change to the stickers page. I was offering to do a 4-panel mini-comic for 25 bucks, in the hopes that the occasional person would be nuts enough to want such a thing.

I was insane.

If you ordered this thing, rest assured I will indeed complete the ones requested. And you shall have the only such things of their kind in existence. I can do character sketches fairly rapidly now. I tend to do them at work during lunch, and it whittles away my breaktime rather satisfyingly. But the mini-comics were starting to eat into regular weekly production time.

I do plan to do something along similar lines in the future, but not till after San Diego. More on that when I figure it out.

Speaking of San Diego, I was informed last week that my vacation time for the event had not been approved after all. It seems that our 6-month inventory had been moved to the Saturday of the con, and no time off is given during inventory. Needless to say, I was a little peeved. Fortunately I just found out that the mistake was not mine, and inventory had not actually been moved. So I still get to go.

Now if the con would just get back to me about whether or not I have a table there or not, and how much it's going to cost me...

If I can get into the small press area it means I can throw the cash saved towards more free swag to give away. I'm already going to have the sketch stickers there, which I'll be doing for free during the con. I figure anybody who shows up has already spent more than enough just getting there, I'll not be charging them for my hasty scribbling. Hopefully I'll have other stickers and such, but it really depends on how much I gotta shell out for a table.

And we're getting reeeeeal close to deadline time here.

I'm working on a couple of shirt designs, at least one of which I'll be ordering in the next week. The first one will be a very simple black T with the Frankenstein symbol over the heart, and the new RP title logo (which you'll be seeing soon) on the back. Those of you who donated in February should remember an old version of the symbol I'm talking about in the desktop background. I'll have some preview shots next monday, once I get things finalized. The other design is gonna take me a while to work out. If I can get it to work, and if I can find the time to draw it, it'll be a pretty cool thing. Just need to talk to the shirt people and find out if they can do it.

No idea if it'll be ready in time for SD or not, we'll see...
